We accommodate the following age-appropriate groupings, following the CCEYA staff: child ratios.

                                                                

  10 infants per room          1:3

  15 toddlers                     1:5

  24 pre-school per room    1:8

  20 JK/SK                        1:13

  45 school age*               1:15

 

*We offer Before & After School, PD Days, and Summer programs for School-Age Children up to the age of 12 years.                                                                                                                

 

DAYS AND HOURS OF OPERATION

 

Monday – Friday

7:30 a.m. - 5:30p.m.

Both full time and part-time care options are offered.

Half days are offered between: 

7:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon. (with lunch)

7:30 a.m. - 11:30 noon. (without lunch)

1:00 p.m. -  5:00 p.m. (with p.m. Snack)

Socialization hours are between

9AM to 3 PM

 

SUMMER PROGRAM

 

We also offer a summer program for children ages 6-12 years. Registration is required and a summer contract needs to be completed when applying.  Vacation days must be pre-booked at the time of registration.  All the days identified at the time of registration will be charged for regardless of whether your child attends or not due to staffing requirements.  Pre-booked vacation days, etc., will not be charged.

Admission and discharge policy

 

A visit is arranged for parents and children in order to answer questions, see surroundings, and get enrolment forms.  

Subsidy applications are also available.   

A settling in period (free of charge) is discussed prior to the starting date.

 

A 2-week notice (verbal or written) is required for withdrawal for both the Centre and Subsidy, if necessary.   Placement will be terminated if fees are not paid on schedule.

 

Arrival and departure

 

Children depend on regular routines for their own sense of security.  Regular hours of drop off and pick up are important.   This will enable us to ensure adequate staff coverage as numbers increase and decrease during the day. 

Make sure that staff is aware of both drop off as well as pickup times.

 

Parents/caregivers are to sign the child in and out of the Centre daily.   Only specifically named individuals will be allowed to take children from the Centre.  Prior notice must be given on these occasions, along with a change to ‘release to’ forms.  Late arrivals, absences, and late pickups are also reasons for you to contact the Centre.
